The Shure MXA902 is an active, all-in-one device powered via Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+). It does not require any external amplifiers.
It is designed for small to medium-sized conference rooms, featuring Single Zone Automatic Coverage™ technology to capture audio from a 20 by 20 foot (6 by 6 meter) area.
It is highly versatile and can be flush-mounted in a standard 60cm ceiling tile grid, pole-mounted, or suspended using wire rope for open-ceiling architecture.
It connects to your network with a single Cat5e (or higher) Ethernet cable. This one cable provides power (PoE+), control signals, and networked digital audio via Dante or AES67 protocols.
No, the MXA902 is not rated for outdoor or wet conditions. It has an IP5X rating for dust protection but is designed for indoor use in controlled environments.
The package includes the MXA902 unit and a hardware kit containing cable ties, strain relief tabs, and a rubber pad set for installation.
