Yes, the Klipsch RP-500M II are passive speakers and must be connected to a stereo amplifier or AV receiver with speaker wire to function. They do not have built-in amplification or Bluetooth.

This product is sold as a factory-matched pair, so you will receive two Klipsch RP-500M II bookshelf speakers.

These speakers are engineered to deliver the classic Klipsch sound: dynamic, detailed, and efficient. They are excellent for both impactful movie soundtracks and nuanced musical performances in small to medium-sized rooms.

You connect them using standard speaker wire from the output terminals of your amplifier or AV receiver to the aluminum binding posts on the back of each speaker. The posts accept bare wire, spade lugs, or banana plugs.

Absolutely. The RP-500M II speakers are an excellent choice for front left/right channels in a smaller system or as high-performance side or rear surround speakers in a larger Klipsch Reference Premiere setup.

The package includes two RP-500M II bookshelf speakers, two removable magnetic grilles, and self-adhesive cork pads for placement on stands or furniture. Speaker wire and an amplifier are not included.
