Yes, the LP Uptown series is designed with professional features like a sculpted ash shell, hand-picked rawhide head, and top-tuning hardware, making it ideal for both live performance and studio recording.
This is the 11.75" Conga drum, which is the middle voice in a traditional three-conga setup, sitting between the smaller Quinto and larger Tumba.
A stand is not typically included with this model and must be purchased separately. This allows players to choose the stand or basket that best fits their playing style and setup.
The sculpted ash shell and rawhide head produce a sound that is warm and full with great resonance. It delivers crisp, cutting slaps and deep, open bass tones, perfect for Latin, Afro-Cuban, and fusion music.
Top-tuning means the tension rods can be adjusted from the top of the drum with a standard drum key. This is much faster and more convenient for on-the-fly adjustments during a performance compared to traditional bottom-access tuning lugs.
The 30" tall shell is made from Sculpted Ash with a Satin Amber finish. The hardware is chrome-plated, including the Top-Tuning Comfort Curve II Rims and reinforced LP Heart side plates.
