Bose DeltaQ technology is a next-generation array design that allows directivity to vary with each module in the array. This enables more consistent coverage over a wide frequency range, reduces overall array weight and cost, and delivers outstanding vocal clarity. Arrays can cover large vertical angles with fewer boxes, optimizing sound for every seat in the house.

Equipped with four Bose EMB2S compression drivers and two 8-inch neodymium high-power woofers, the SM5 is engineered for high-output applications. A full array can achieve a peak SPL of up to 145 dB, providing the headroom and impact required for demanding tour-sound productions and large-scale installations.

Versatile Rigging for Install and Touring

The SM5 is designed for both portable applications and permanent installations. A 3-point “quick pin” rigging system allows for fast and easy setup of arrays with up to 24 modules, while removable side handles create a cleaner aesthetic for fixed installs. The splay angle can be precisely adjusted from 0 to 5 degrees to optimize long-throw performance.
