dBTechnologies presents two new point-source models within the acclaimed OPERA series, raising the bar and bringing a real revolution at a perfect time, 50 years from the foundation of the company. Introducing the all-new standard in professional portable sound, made in Italy: OPERA REEVO.
The OPERA REEVO 210 and OPERA REEVO 212 are compact, powerful sound systems designed for anyone seeking high-quality audio anywhere. These speakers deliver impressive sound pressure levels with professional-grade sound clarity and an exceptional low-end extension, all within a newly designed, compact enclosure.
The Quasi 3-way configuration provides robust yet clear sound, setting a new standard in its category and marking an evolution in the long-running and highly-regarded dBTechnologies active speaker series. Inspired by the company's touring series, the OPERA REEVO models are engineered to translate complex musical material with impeccable clarity, particularly in the midrange frequencies, where separation and definition are crucial.
The coaxial acoustic design features a front-integrated high-frequency (HF) horn with diamond-shaped cutouts to eliminate comb filtering, enhancing high-frequency reproduction and improving the upper woofer's efficiency. A secondary phase plug boosts the lower woofer's performance, enhancing transient response and overall sound quality. Low-noise reflex ports, integrated into the front molding, utilize a honeycomb structure to reduce wind turbulence caused by high airflow, ensuring a clean and powerful sound output.
Both OPERA REEVO models are powered by a Class-D Digipro G2 amplifier that delivers 1050 W RMS and 2100 W peak power. The advanced DSP processing, including FIR linear phase filters, enables consistent audio performance with uniform, crystal-clear sound. Additionally, the OPERA REEVO speakers offer factory-tailored voicing presets to adapt to various scenarios, such as use as a wedge stage monitor or a standalone full-range PA system.
The speakers’ versatile sound processing is complemented by a user-friendly design. The OPERA REEVO can be deployed as a stage monitor, on a speaker stand, or paired with a subwoofer using a 36mm pole. It can also be suspended using integrated M10 threaded eyebolts, making it ideal for permanent installations.
Despite their compact size, both cabinets offer high output levels—132.5 dB for the REEVO 210 and 133 dB for the REEVO 212. They feature two Neodymium woofers (10” for the REEVO 210 and 12” for the REEVO 212) and a 1.75” coaxial compression driver, maintaining low weight at 17.2 kg (37 lbs) for the REEVO 210 and 20.4 kg (44 lbs) for the REEVO 212.
The OPERA REEVO series also provides excellent vocal clarity, crucial for environments like corporate events or houses of worship, where speech intelligibility is vital. With a wide nominal dispersion—100°x80° for the REEVO 212 and 100°x90° for the REEVO 210—the speakers ensure consistent coverage from all listening positions.
